Though Workday usually implements feature upgrades in March and September each year, sometimes major enhancements roll out between the bi-annual Workday Releases: as of August 2, employees will notice a brand-new look when enrolling in, or making changes to, their UW health and retirement benefits.

More User-Friendly Layout for Making Your Benefit Choices
Though which benefit options appear on an employee’s screen depends on several factors – including whether they are enrolling for the first time in all their UW-provided benefits or just changing one benefit plan due to a Life Event such as marriage or the birth of a child – benefit options are now visually separated out into more easily identified benefit categories (e.g., “Medical,” “Dental,” etc.), making it easier for employees to track what choices they can make. In the new layout, employees will select “tiles” to make their benefit selections and will also find links to our updated User Guides to help guide them through the selection and submission process.
