The ISC has recently updated settings on the automated alerts Workday sends when newly hired or rehired employees have not completed their required I-9 paperwork within the grace period. These alerts will start to arrive the first day after an employee’s grace period ends, and will be sent daily until the Form I-9 is complete in Workday. Alerts will be sent to the employee’s I-9 Coordinator and HR Partner.
As always, we encourage units to conduct regular audits using the “Worker I-9 Audit for Previous/Current System” report in Workday to ensure all employees are in compliance. Detailed instructions are available on the I-9 Coordinators page of the ISC website.
