New Look for Workday Coming with March Release

Last updated Thursday, April 26, 2018

Twice a year, Workday releases major feature upgrades designed to increase functionality and enhance the user experience. A few exciting changes are in the works with this round of planned updates, scheduled for release over the weekend of March 10. The most noticeable change you’ll see when you log into Workday after the update is a brand new look for the Workday homepage!

Though many may wonder why the colorful worklets are being changed, this update marks several improvements in the accessibility of Workday, which is an initiative the UW has been driving in partnership with Workday throughout our adoption of the software. The upgrades will help ensure that users of all abilities have a more positive experience accessing and navigating Workday.

Some of the changes you’ll notice include:

Workday Unavailable During Release Update

Workday will be down for maintenance the weekend of the upcoming release. If you are used to logging into Workday on Saturdays or Sundays, please know that access to Workday will be unavailable beginning March 9 at 11:00 pm through March 11 at 5:00 pm. Employees and administrators should make plans to anticipate this downtime.

Keep an eye on our Workday Release page for more information about planned upgrades as we get closer to March 10!
