As you know, currently when you terminate an employee with the reason of “retirement,” there are approvals required from the ISC and/or the Benefits Office in order to complete the business process.
To more efficiently manage the termination process relating to retirement, the ISC has developed a new use for the “secondary termination reason” field in the termination business process. Previously, during Workday training, we let everyone know that the “secondary termination reason” field was an optional field. No action is required by campus administrators, but we do ask that you no longer fill out this field if you were in the habit of using it for your own records. This new audit procedure will allow the termination process to be completed in a more timely fashion.
