As hopefully everyone now knows, in order to meet important integration deadlines for FAS and myFD, the ISC recently released an updated version of the 2017 Campus Payroll and HCM Transaction Calendar. Beginning in November, Time and Absence Transaction Deadlines have been changed to 9:00 pm the evening before originally scheduled. For example, instead of November 6 at 8:30 am, the new deadline is now November 5 at 9:00 pm.
Sometimes – but not always – that Time and Absence Transaction Deadline (the red square on the calendar) falls on a Sunday evening.
We have received a few questions about the new Sunday deadline, and want to clarify that the Sunday deadline is simply the final date that time can be submitted – time can be submitted any time before this (for example: Friday afternoon). Indeed, we actually recommend submitting and approving hours as soon as possible and using the weekend cushion for emergencies only. However, while we don’t expect employees to be working outside of their schedules, we are aware that there are many who do work on the weekend, and we want to provide everyone with as wide of a window as possible for meeting the deadline.
