Reporting Unemployment Fraud to the ISC

Published on Wednesday, July 1, 2020

With unemployment fraud impacting the State of Washington, we have published a form for UW employees to use when reporting any potentially fraudulent unemployment claims made in their name to the ISC: Report Unemployment Fraud to the ISC. Employees who suspect fraud should use this form rather than emailing the ISC to help streamline the investigation process.

Please note: If an employee believes a fraudulent unemployment claim has been made in their name, the employee must first report the fraud to Washington State’s Employment Security Department (ESD). The ISC will notify ESD that the University of Washington disputes fraudulent claim charges. The ESD will use that information to suspend/stop the fraudulent payments.

Employees can find additional information about unemployment fraud on UWHR’s Unemployment FAQs page.
