Update Regarding Federal “Payroll Tax Holiday”

On August 8, 2020, a memorandum was issued recommending a temporary deferral of Social Security taxes for certain employees. On September 1, 2020, the Department of Treasury and the IRS published guidance stating that an employer’s participation in the payroll tax holiday is not required. The State of Washington has decided they will not be temporarily deferring payroll taxes for state employees and UW employees will not see any changes related to this tax holiday. Learn more

Reporting Unemployment Fraud to the ISC

UW employees who suspect unemployment fraud should submit the Report Unemployment Fraud to the ISC form to the ISC. Using this form rather than emailing the ISC helps to streamline the investigation process. Learn more

COVID-19 Update: Workday Support Available Online/Phone Only

In accordance with recommendations by Public Health – Seattle & King County, as of Monday, March 16, the ISC has moved all Workday support to online or phone options only. Walk-in support at the UW Tower has been temporarily suspended. Learn more
